This only affects new installations of Bubbler. If you already have Bubbler installed on your phone, it will continue to work for many years into the future.
You may or may not know that the phone apps are developed and supported by third parties. While SWTracker continues to thrive, it appears Bubbler has reached its end of life abruptly. It's no longer available in the app store. There's a sliver of hope that it may be available outside of the app store, but in all honesty, that sliver is micro-thin.
We want to thank the Bubbler team for the app they developed and supported for the past 10+ years. It's been an amazing run and we wish them well.
So what are your options right now?
It's time to get busy and move forward...
We are committed to developing a SpotWalla phone app. Initially, the app will only be supported on Android, but the hope is to make it available on iOS too. The unfortunate part is this will take some time to design, develop and test before it becomes generally available. We suspect it won't be generally available until late summer/fall of 2025.
Initially, the app will have core functionality that will allow you to track your location and send custom messages including pictures. Over time, we will add functionality to improve its features, capabilities and value.
We are bringing back Google Maps, but it's limited to location pages at this time. This will help us sort through any issues and buff out some of the peculiarities before broadening its usage to trips, tracks, etc.
