Happy New Year! We hope 2024 brings you safe and happy travels wherever you may roam. We're excited about 2024 and some the enhancements and upgrades on the horizon.

Show/Hide Pictures in Trip Viewer

Some of you take a lot of pictures and like to share them in your trips. The more pictures a trip has, though, the more cluttered it can become and obscure other important locations and information. Because of this, many of you have expressed a desire to show/hide pictures in the trip viewer and now you can. While viewing a trip, click the highlighted button in the header to show/hide any pictures:

Try it. You'll like it.

Google Maps Coming Back to SpotWalla?

There's no question about it... when it comes to maps, Google Maps reigns supreme. We are going to take a deep dive into the level of effort and cost involved to bring Google Maps back to SpotWalla. Don't get too excited just yet, though. If you've been around SpotWalla for a while, you likely remember when we used Google Maps and when and why we moved to MapBox. If you haven't been around that long or forgot, it boiled down to the cost of using Google Maps after their fee structure changed.

We have absolutely nothing but good things to say about MapBox. They have and will continue to provide a cost-effective mapping solution for SpotWalla, but we recognize Google Maps is the dominant player. And if we can find a way to bring our users the best of class, that's what we intend to do.

Evaluating Google Maps integration is a huge effort. We'll make a decision by the end of February. If we decide to move forward with the integration, it will likely take place over time and in increments. So hang in there.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please email us and we will help.
